Line “Start-up of small companies in Andalusia” (TRADE)

The purpose of the line of subsidies is to support the start-up of small businesses (including micro-enterprises) in Andalusia.

These are non-refundable grants to contribute to the economic development of Andalusia.

They must be projects with an investment of more than 30,000 euros.

Who can apply?

Small companies *, excluding sole proprietors or self-employed, belonging to certain sectors (see CNAE list).

*Only projects carried out by companies are subsidized.

It is necessary to prove sufficient economic and financial capacity in relation to the amount of the investment presented.

Requirements to apply for the aid

Start-up projects for small companies: projects involving an eligible investment of over 30,000 euros and which are small companies in unlisted corporate form, registered for a maximum of five years as of the date of submission of the application, provided that the company meets the following conditions:

- That it has not taken over the activity of another company, unless the turnover of the acquired activity accounts for less than 10% of the turnover of the eligible company in the financial year prior to the takeover.

- That they have not yet distributed profits.

- That they have not acquired another company or have been formed through mergers of companies, unless the turnover of the acquired company is less than 10% of the turnover of the eligible company in the financial year prior to the acquisition or the turnover of the merged company is less than 10% higher than the combined turnover of the two merged companies in the financial year prior to the merger.

Projects must comply with the following:

⦁ a) Be considered technically, economically and financially viable.

⦁ b) That the applicant company intends, with the project presented, to create an operational establishment in the Autonomous Community of Andalusia, regardless of where the head office is located.

ELIGIBLE ITEMS

- Land: the acquisition of land necessary for the implementation of the project (maximum 10% of the value of the project as a whole).

- Warehouses and buildings.

- New or used process equipment.

- Auxiliary equipment and installations. In the case of transport elements, only transport elements inside the company premises will be eligible for subsidy.

- Computer equipment or Information and Communications Technology (ICT) infrastructure equipment.

- Acquisition and processing of software, with the exception of software consisting of computer licenses for operating systems or office automation applications.

- Planning, engineering and project management: including planning work, project engineering and project management, as well as safety and environmental studies and all those of special relevance for the implementation of the investment project.

The lesser of the following two values will be considered eligible for this concept:

- The value resulting from applying 8 per cent of the civil works and 4 per cent of the capital goods and installations considered eligible.

- 50 per cent of the costs incurred under this heading.

Expenditure invoiced no more than six months before the date of application and up to the date of completion of the project will be accepted. Projects may therefore have started before the date of application for support, but these costs must remain within the scope of the approved project.

SUBSIDY RATE:

A minimum of 55% of the investment is granted, which may be increased depending on different characteristics, such as job creation, innovative nature of the project, company made up of young people or women, social economy, etc, and may reach up to 65%.
