Regional incentives are financial aid granted by the State for productive investment to promote business activity, orienting its location towards previously determined areas and thus helping to alleviate inter-territorial imbalances. The aid consists of non-refundable subsidies, expressed as a percentage of eligible costs, and is co-financed by the ERDF.

Who can apply?
⦁ Tourist establishments and complementary leisure facilities that are innovative, especially in terms of environmental measures, and that significantly improve the endogenous potential of the area.
⦁ Processing industries and production support services, which include advanced technology, pay attention to environmental improvements and involve a significant improvement in the quality or innovation of process or product.
Eligible projects
- Creation of new establishments: with a minimum investment of €900,000 and the creation of new jobs.
- Expansion: with a minimum investment of €900,000 in tangible fixed assets, involving an increase in production capacity and the creation of new jobs, while maintaining existing jobs.
- Modernisation: with a minimum investment of €900,000 in tangible fixed assets, involving the acquisition of technologically advanced machinery and the creation of new jobs.
Eligible items
- Civil works: service connections and connections, urban development and external works appropriate to the needs of the project, offices, laboratories, installations for labour and health services for personnel, warehouses, production or transformation buildings, industrial service buildings, warehouses and other works.
- Capital goods: process machinery, special electrical installations, special energy and water supply installations, internal transport elements, special external transport vehicles, measuring and control equipment, safety installations, environmental improvement and protection installations, and other capital goods linked to the project.
- Preliminary project studies: in the case of SMEs, up to 50% of the costs of planning, project engineering and project management work.
- Intangible assets: provided that they do not exceed 30% of the total investment eligible for incentives, are used exclusively in the centre where the project is carried out, are inventoriable, amortisable and are acquired at market conditions from third parties unrelated to the purchaser.

Type of eligible sectors
For the purposes of Article 6 of the Regulation approved by Royal Decree 899/2007 of 6 July 2007, the following sectors will be eligible:
- Processing industries, including the agri-food industry, and production support services which, in compliance with the sectoral criteria established by the competent bodies, include advanced technology, pay special attention to environmental improvements and involve a significant improvement in the quality or innovation of process or product and, in particular, those which favour the introduction of new technologies and the provision of services in the information and communications technology subsectors and those which significantly improve commercial structures.
- Tourist establishments and complementary leisure facilities which, while respecting the sectoral criteria established by the competent bodies, are innovative in character, especially in terms of environmental improvements, and which significantly improve the endogenous potential of the area.
Depending on the municipality where your hotel is located, the minimum category eligible for Regional Economic Incentives is 4*** Stars.
The complementary facilities to your hotel are also subject to this regional subsidy, such as marinas, themed facilities or parks, golf courses...
For the modernisation of your Hotel a minimum of 4**** Stars is required, you can improve the infrastructure of your Hotel site and Leisure facilities.
Extensions for your hotel and leisure facilities are also an eligible object.

Requirements to apply for the aid
⦁ Be considered technically, economically and financially viable.
⦁ To have a minimum contribution of 25% of financing through own resources by the beneficiary.
⦁ Maintain the investments to be made in for a minimum of 5 years if it is a large company, or a minimum of 3 years if it is a small or medium-sized company
⦁ Maintain the jobs in for a minimum of 2 years, counting from the end date established in the Individual Grant Resolution.
⦁ Not to be started at the date of submission of the application. For this, it is necessary that before starting with the project, a notarial act of presence is made, in which the fact of not starting the works is made clear.
⦁ In the event that the investment exceeds €50,000 in fixed assets or €18,000 in the case of supplies of capital goods or provision of services by consulting or technical assistance companies, it is mandatory to submit at least three budgets from different suppliers and choose the cheapest, unless for other reasons the choice of a budget that is not the cheapest is duly justified.
Territorial scope and amount of the subsidy
The entire national territory, except the Autonomous Community of Madrid, Catalonia, Navarre and the Basque Country*.
In the Autonomous Community of Andalusia, grants will be awarded up to a maximum of:
- In the provinces of Almería, Cádiz and Córdoba, 50 % for large enterprises, 60 % for medium-sized enterprises and 70 % for small enterprises.
- In the provinces of Granada, Huelva, Jaén, Málaga and Seville, 40 % for large firms, 50 % for medium-sized firms and 60 % for small firms.
In the rest of Spain, the percentage will depend on the Autonomous Community in which the investment project is carried out.
(*) Regional Economic Incentives do not apply in the Autonomous Communities of Madrid, Catalonia, Navarre and the Basque Country.
